The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff has been selected to give the commencement address at this year's Air Force Academy graduation.

Admiral Mike Mullen is a 1968 graduate of the US Naval Academy. He was sworn in as the 17th chairman, back in October of 2007. Admiral Mullen serves as the primary military advisor to the President, Secretary of Defense, National Security Council and Homeland Security Council.

This will be the first time a Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff will speak at an Air Force Academy graduation. Commencement exercises are scheduled for Wednesday, May 26, at Falcon Stadium, beginning at 10 am. Tickets will be available beginning in the middle of May.
