Comedian and animal lover Ellen DeGeneres is working to draw attention to homeless animals.

DeGeneres is working with the Postal Service to introduce a series of stamps featuring once abandon cats and dogs.

The U.S. Postal Service hopes the 10 stamp designs, with five cats and five dogs, raises awareness of the need to adopt shelter pets.

On April 30, the Postal Service will issue a 44-cent, Animal Rescue: Adopt a Shelter Pet stamp series.

The comedian is also involved with the halo pet care products and is giving away 1 million meals to shelters around the country.
