Colorado Springs City Council discussed a proposed ordinance to regulate medical marijuana dispensaries on Monday.

It was proposed by a medical marijuana taskforce that's been working on it for months.  In the ordinance, dispensaries would have to be at least 250 feet away from public schools, close from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. and have proper business licenses.

Staff will continue to draft the ordinance so it's ready when the legislature makes a decision.
