Fort Carson soldier arrested on internet luring charges

A soldier from Fort Carson was arrested Wednesday in Adams County on internet luring charges.  Brian Kelly Wells, 28, also faces internet sexual exploitation charges and attempted sexual assault on a child.

Wells is a Sergeant in the United States Army and is stationed at Fort Carson in Colorado Springs. Wells became a suspect during an online operation targeting internet predators. He allegedly arranged to have a sexual encounter with a person he believed to be an underage girl. Wells was actually communicating with an undercover deputy. According to an Adams County deputy, Wells drove from Colorado Springs to a residence in Adams County where he had arranged to meet with the girl for sex. Wells was arrested when he knocked on the door.  He was arrested and then released to Military Police on Thursday.
