Fort Carson soldiers deploy to Afghanistan

Chelsea Webb is a Specialist in the Army. This deployment is her first.
"I'm a little nervous," says Spc. Chelsea Webb.
Jason Berdou is a Major. This deployment is his second.
"I am absolutely excited to be going to Afghanistan," says Maj. Jason Berdou.
Tuesday night, these two soldiers have a lot in common.
Webb is a new, single mom. Her daughter is seven months old. Berdou is a newlywed, married four months (but dating for four years before that, he adds).
They, along with more than 200 soldiers with the 43rd Sustainment Brigade, have to say good-bye to the people most important in their lives.
"It's tough. It makes your heart hurt. It really does," says Webb.
"I'll miss everything about her. She's an amazing woman," says Berdou.
They'll be gone a year.
Webb's daughter will stay with grandma. Berdou's wife will finish up nursing school, then have a brief tour of her own, doing medical relief work in Haiti. Families prepare for this day, but they'll admit, it isn't easy to say good-bye.
"We've started a life together, and now he's leaving," says Brandy Berdou, wiping away tears.
The brigade's main mission is to make sure troops have all the supplies they need, including food, medicine, and ammunition.
