If you stop what you're doing when you see a hawk soaring overhead but need help identifying whether it's a red-tailed hawk or a Swainson's hawk--attend a free training session at Cheyenne Mountain State Park this Sunday.

Volunteers will be at the Visitor Center at 1:30 to show visual and behavioral clues to identify hawks. The focus is on those species that live, hunt, and nest in and near Cheyenne Mountain State Park.

The program is appropriate for adults and children, 12 years and older. Reservations are recommended. Call (719) 576-2016.

Here's a schedule for future bird identification clinics:

March 28 - Eagles, Harriers, Osprey, Turkey Vulture
April 11 - Falcons
April 18 - Forest hawks
