Flood watches continue along the East Coast today, as the remnants of Tropical Storm Ida continue to hover.

At least five deaths are being blamed on the storm.

In and around Norfolk, Va., winds have been pushing water inland and threatening to cause more flooding today. Many roads are under water.

Emergencies have been declared in Virginia and parts of Delaware and New Jersey. Several New Jersey roads have been closed.

Rain and resulting floods are also expected to continue at least through today in Maryland and Delaware. In parts of northern Virginia, a coastal flood advisory is in effect through tomorrow night.

Power is reported out to tens of thousands of customers.
