As expected it is a snowy start to the work week. We still have areas of light snow falling along thte front range. Our high temps have likely already been reached today now that a cool front has passed though Colorado Springs and Pueblo.  We will still see additional light accumulations of snow possible through the afternoon and early evening.

WINTER STORM WARNINGS are still in effect until 6 PM for the WET MOUNTAINS, SANGRE DE CRISTO'S, THE WET MOUNTAIN VALLEY and the SOUTHERN FRONT RANGE FOOTHILLS (Walsenburg, Trinidad areas). Additional accumulations are possible in all of Warning areas through later today.

Snow totals so far: Cuchara about 17", Colorado Springs about 1-2". Pueblo about 2.5-3". About 2-4 for Briargate. About 3-3.5" in Pueblo West. About 1-2" in Canon City. Beulah has had 4.5". Trinidad and Walsenburg have gotten about 3-4"+. Woodland Park has had about 3-4" as well.

Areas of light snow will end as the day goes on....we might even see a few rays of sunshine by afternoon. Some clearing of the skies expected tonight which means that temps will fall into the single digits.

The good news is we'll see more sunshine in the forecast for your Tuesday, but temps will still only be in the 20's for highs. Fog and low clouds are a good bet overnight in to Wednesday morning.

The warming trend continues Thursday and especially Friday.

There will be a few weak storms passing through the region later this week that will bring us a slight chance of showers. One on Thursday that will move fairly far to the south, will bring us a minimal chance of showers in Colo Springs and Pueblo. Yet another system will give us another slight chance late Saturday and Sunday.

Remember, all our live Weather Bug cameras and sensors are right here in the weather section on NewsFirst5.com  You can also see what the roads are like with more than 40 traffic cameras here as well.

Have a great week!
