New newspaper in town

A new newspaper has hit the stands in El Paso County.

"We actually started out at 900 locations around El Paso, Teller and south Douglas," said Lana Fore-Warkocz, publisher of The Constitutionalist Today, a free monthly that began with the founding fathers in mind. "We wanted a newspaper that would go back to those grassroots," she said.

It has a traditional name, but a 2010 approach. With a conservative slant, its columnists include conservative radio talk show hosts Richard Randall and Jared Rigo, Director of Americans for Prosperity, Jeff Crank and The Coalition for the Conservative Majority's Michelle Morin.

"We definitely exist to compensate for a lot of the left-leaning views that are out there," said Teddy Otero, Boardmember and Layout Editor.

"The way that it's exploded in the popularity and the feedback we've gotten really lets you know that it's needed," he said.

The paper comes out on the first of every month. The next issue will be available on Monday.
