Pueblo has expanded its Christmas tree recycling program this year.  Trees can be dropped off and ground up into mulch, which will then be given away.  Trees may be dropped off between January 2 and 17 at Vision Recycled Aggregate and Landscaping, located at 95 Vision Lane, just south of East 4th Street, between 7:30 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday through Saturday.

Trees must be stripped of any decorations, wire, nails, tree stands or other metal.

Then after noon on January 18, residents can pick up free mulch on a first come, first served basis. Participants must remove all decorations, tree stands, wires or nails from trees. The Christmas Tree Recycling Drop-off is coordinated by the Pueblo City-County Health Department's Environmental Coordinator Program and sponsored by Black Hills Energy, and Vision Recycled Aggregate and Landscaping. For more information, call the Pueblo City-County Health Department's Recycle Hotline at 719-583-4924.
