Community members in Pueblo West want to create a center that offers recreational programs to the public. Rebecca Kaspari says the group has received 21 acres of donated land, located near McCulloch Blvd.

Kaspari says the group wants to build a 17,000 sq. ft. building, a playground area, shade structures for picnics and a fitness track with an obstacle course.

Reporter David Ortiviz will have more tonight on News First 5.

I like the way you make it sound like the whole community is for this.  A survey was done even before the current economic situation and this item was last on a list of 10 or 12 things THE COMMUNITY felt were important.

You are the worst news service I have ever seen for putting a slant on news regardless of the facts which you never seem to check.

I agree with the above comment.  Facts were not gathered for this story.
Recreation for the area was number 10 on the list for needed and wanted items for our community.
The "special interest" people, (the ones moving forward with pushing this recreation center) are going to shove it down our throat wheater we want it or not, without regard to the things we need and need to pay for first.
