A warm day is in store Saturday, with high temperatures in the 50s to lower 60s across the southeast plains and 40s to lower 50s in the high valleys.
It's a different story for Sunday, with precipitation spreading to all the mountains, high valleys, and the I-25 corridor. The lower elevations will have temperatures, during the day, that will be warm enough for rain, but the mountains will see snow. Sunday evening as the temperatures cool, the precipitation will change over to snow at the lower elevations as well. Significant snowfall will be possible over the southwest mountains, the Sangre De Cristo, Wet mountains, and portions of the San Luis Valley near the mountains.
Monday, most of the precipitation will move out of much of the area, except for the eastern slopes of the southern Sangre de Cristos and Wet mountains. Then, all precipitation should come to an end late Monday afternoon
An area of high pressure will dominate the area Tuesday into Thursday, with dry and warm conditions for southern Colorado.
