A three million dollar grant from the El Pomar Foundation satisfies The City of Colorado Springs commitment for ensuring the United States Olympic Committee remains in Colorado Springs for decades to come. With a deadline a week away, the El Pomar Foundation Board stepped up with the money.

The three million dollar announcement was made by foundation C.E.O., Bill Hybl.  He pointed out that, El Pomar Foundation which is known for granting money to many human service organizations, also works to build stronger communities. "We think the U.S. Olympic committee plays a vital role as part of the fabric of this community."

With money in place, crews now move forward to complete the new U.S.O.C. headquarters in downtown Colorado Springs. The U.S.O.C. should be able to move in by mid march.
