Up to a foot of snow could fall in parts of Denver

The National Weather Service says up to 16 inches of snow could fall in the Colorado mountains and between six inches to a foot of snow in parts of Denver by Sunday.

Snow started to fall in the metro area Saturday afternoon but forecasters expect the bulk of the storm to pass through Sunday. The Weather Service says the snow is expected to end by Sunday afternoon. Temperatures are predicted to be in lower 30s.
