The plague doctor skin is one of the most impressive and important cosmetic items in Fortnite. It was introduced in Season 6, as part of the Grim Medicine cosmetic set. This cosmetic set includes six different cosmetic items and one of them is the plague skin. In the game, you can get your hands on this skin by purchasing it in the Item Shop for 1,500 V-Bucks.
Having said that, it has been quite a while since we have seen the plague skin in action. The last time we were able to get our hands on this item was in January 2020, at which point Epic Games had taken the unfortunate decision to remove all plague-related items from their store rotation.
Regardless, the skin has recently returned to the Item Shop, making it the latest in a long line of cosmetics to be added to the game. However, it may not be in the Item Store for too long. Some of these items are also in the Daily section, meaning you can only buy them for a limited time. Therefore, you’ll want to save up your V-Bucks if you really want to get your hands on this one.
One of the most impressive features of the skin is that it has Back Bling. Although this is not a feature that is found in all of the game’s skins, it’s certainly a cool feat.
Other notable skins include the Scourge, which is the male version of the plague, and the Dismal Cape, which is a nice little back-bling cosmetic item. While these are not as rare as the Renegade Raider, they are a bit harder to come by.
While the most recent cosmetic items are not exactly available in the Item Shop, you can find a variety of other cosmetics in the game. These range from simple sprites to collaboration skins to collaboration event skins. You’ll also have the chance to try your hand at creating your own. A recent competition held by Epic Games allowed players to create their own skin, though this is only possible if you have the proper amount of crafting materials.
In short, the Plague skin is not exactly the sexiest item in the game. This is because it is not accompanied by any added features. The skin is merely a cosmetic item, which means it will not change your playstyle or the way you battle.
That being said, there are many skins to choose from in Fortnite, and most of them return in cycles. Most of these appear every a few months, although it is hard to say how long these items will remain in the Item Shop. Of course, you can always take the opportunity to get your hands on the ones that are in the shop when you can.
Whether or not the plague skin is actually back in the game is a matter of opinion. There is no confirmation from Epic Games that this particular piece of content will be returning, but we have heard that it will be coming in the near future.
